Turning Lights To Green

We all have our roadblocks, speedbumps, our hills to climb, and our Mondays to conquer. I can't believe we have only about seven Mondays remaining in 2020! I don't know about you, but for me, Mondays come quicker every week! But is that a bad thing?

Recently, I picked up my Nook and started looking at new books that were released this past year. I have not had a lot of time to read anything for personal pleasure. Instead, I have been reading educational articles, blogs, and client essays.

With the election coming to an end, the Thanksgiving season approaching, and my favorite holiday, Christmas, around the corner, I wanted to read something Motivational, Inspiring, and Uplifting. I read over many titles but stopped at one: Greenlights. Author Matthew McConaughey is only a handful of years older than me, and reading his words made me think about my own life. He writes about his lessons, roadblocks, speed bumps, hills, and "Greenlights" in his book.

Matthew McConaughey wrote, "I believe everything we do in life is part of a plan. Sometimes the plan goes as intended, and sometimes it doesn't. That's part of the plan. Realizing this is a greenlight in itself. The problems we face today eventually turn into blessings in the rearview mirror of life. In time, yesterday's red light leads us to a greenlight."

Whatever you decide to pursue today, don't let Monday be your red light. Make it the best day that you can - it's your choice, so choose wisely. Go over the speed bump slowly, get over that hill, and take another road if you approach a roadblock. Monday's are terrific for new beginnings. Go out and pursue those greenlights!
