The University of South Carolina decides to help out the Class of 2021 by deciding to go Test-Optional! I believe that more schools will realize that students standardized testing should not be a tool used for admissions purposes, especially during COVID. Like many other schools across the country, the Gamecocks will pilot a new admissions policy for the 2021 Class, Students who choose this option may also provide supplemental materials. The University of South Carolina is taking this action a step further and letting students know that this new test-optional policy applies to Honors College and merit scholarships! Information regarding this new policy will be released on August 1st!
